At the Great Exhibition, they found each other. Jaimee’s face was awash in the rainbows cast by the Koh-i-Noor; Liz’s artistic fingers clenched around her lace gloves. In that moment, surrounded by strangers and the great world’s wonders, they knew that they were home.
